Pulse
Real time cabotage operations dashboard, driven by CDC and Kafka

A reactive dashboard for cabotage operations, delivered as ONEPAGE and known as Pulse among the business teams. The people running the operation see the data change as it happens, with no polling and no refresh.

Goals: give operators live visibility, turn every relevant change in the data into an event, and consolidate several sources and entities into a single view.

Challenges: correlating a tangle of related data, working with a large set of database triggers, and carrying changes through CDC and Kafka all the way to the screen. The hard part is the data pipeline, not the dashboard.
