Privacy policy

The short version

• The PDF files you use in the tools are processed inside your browser. They are never uploaded, stored or seen by anyone else.
• The numbers and messages typed in the WhatsApp link generator stay in your browser too.
• The images used in the background remover are processed in your browser and never uploaded.
• Videos converted to MP3 are processed in your browser and are never uploaded.
• The values typed in the calculators (salary, dates, financing) are calculated in your browser and never sent.
• The event gift list is the exception: it is stored on a server so your guests can open it. It needs no account, and its password is stored encrypted.
• Apart from the gift list, there are no accounts and no forms that collect personal data.
• Visits are measured with analytics that do not use cookies.
• The tool pages may show advertising from Google AdSense, which uses cookies as described below.

Your PDF files

When you merge, split, compress or edit a PDF, the file is read by your browser and processed by JavaScript running on your own device. The file is not sent over the network: nothing in these tools transmits it to any server. The result is created in your browser and handed to you as a download.

Nothing is kept after you close or reload the page. You can check this yourself in the Network tab of your browser's developer tools while you use a tool.

The WhatsApp link generator

The number and the message you type are used in your browser to build the link and the QR code, and they are not sent to this site or stored. A link only reaches WhatsApp, a service of Meta, when someone opens it, and WhatsApp's own rules apply from there.

The background remover

The image you choose is read and cut out by an AI model that runs inside your browser, and it is not sent to this site or to anyone else. For that the browser downloads the model once from the Hugging Face Hub and the engine that runs it from jsDelivr, and keeps both in its cache. These downloads carry nothing about your image.

The video to MP3 converter

The video you choose is read by your browser, and its audio is converted to MP3 by code running on your device. Neither the video nor the MP3 is sent to this site or stored, and both are gone when you close or reload the page.

The calculators

The values you type in the calculators, such as salary, dates and financing amounts, are used only in your browser to work out the result, and they are not sent to this site or stored. The only outside request the calculators make is reading the Selic target rate from the website of the Central Bank of Brazil, and it carries none of your data, only the request every browser makes to a website.

The event gift list

This is the one tool that uses a server, because a list has to exist for the people you share it with. The server is a small program (landing-page-backend) that runs on Railway with a PostgreSQL database. It stores what you type in the list: the name of who is celebrating, the title, the date, the message and the colors, the address of the list, the gifts (name, link, picture address, price and note) and an encrypted fingerprint of the password, which is never stored in plain text and cannot be read back.

Guests do not give any personal data. When a guest reserves a gift, the server stores that the gift is taken and a fingerprint of a random code that stays in the guest's browser, with no name or address. Nobody, including the owner of the list, can see who reserved a gift.

When you add a link, the server opens that page to read its picture, name and price, and it only opens public web pages. To protect the service, IP addresses are used in memory for a short time to limit requests and are not written to the database. Your browser keeps in its own storage the session of the lists you made and the reservations you made, so you do not have to type the password every time.

A list stays until its owner deletes it in the list settings, which erases the list, its gifts and its reservations. Lists are not shown in search results. To ask for the removal of a list whose password you no longer have, use the contact page.

What this site collects

The site is hosted on Vercel. It uses Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and Vercel Speed Insights to measure how fast pages load. They record technical information such as the page visited, the referring page, the country, the type of device and browser, and performance timings. Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and does not follow you from one site to another.

Like every web host, Vercel receives your IP address when your browser asks for a page, and keeps standard server logs for security and operation. The site also stores a small offline page and an icon in your browser so that it can show a message when you have no connection. That data stays on your device.

Advertising

The tool pages may show ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are always labelled as advertising and are placed away from the tools. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to deliver and measure ads and, where you allow it or the law does not require your consent, to personalize them. They do not receive your PDF files or any data from the tools.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent message from a Google certified consent management platform asks for your choice before personalized ads are shown. You can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services on policies.google.com, manage ad personalization in your Google Ads Settings, and opt out of personalized advertising from many companies at aboutads.info.

Cookies

The site itself does not set cookies and does not use tracking pixels. The only cookies you may meet come from Google when advertising is shown on a tool page. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the tools keep working without them.

Your rights

Under the Brazilian LGPD, the European GDPR and similar laws you can ask what data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Because the site does not collect personal data directly, most requests concern the services named above, which you can address with them directly. For anything else, use the contact page.

Children

The site is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
