How to see your rights from one salary
Step 01
Pick what you want to know
Monthly pay, vacation, 13th salary, severance, overtime, or the year and the PJ comparison. Each one asks only for what it needs.
Step 02
Enter the gross salary
It is the amount agreed in your contract, before any deduction. It is asked once and kept when you change category. Add dependents and the fields of the category.
Step 03
Read the answer beside the fields
The result of the category appears next to its fields: net salary, 30 days of vacation (with the option to sell 10), the 13th in two installments, the severance with the FGTS you could withdraw, or the extra pay of the overtime.
Step 04
Compare with working as a PJ
In Year and PJ, see the monthly invoice that matches your whole CLT package, with Simples Nacional taxes, the pro labore and the accountant.
What you get
One input, the whole picture
Monthly pay, vacation, 13th salary, severance, overtime and the PJ comparison all come from the same salary, so you do not fill in six calculators.
Every deduction explained
Income tax shows its calculation base and how much the reduction of the law took off, and the best deduction is picked on its own.
A fair PJ comparison
The invoice you would need counts the cash, the FGTS and your benefits, after the taxes of a services company in the Simples Nacional.
Nothing is sent
The calculation runs in the browser. Your salary never goes through a server.
How the net salary is calculated
INSS is charged in progressive brackets on the gross salary, up to the ceiling of the social security system. Above the ceiling the contribution does not grow. The calculator uses the deduction column of the official table, the same method payroll systems use.
Income tax applies to the salary minus INSS and minus a deduction per dependent, or minus the simplified discount when that is larger. The monthly table is applied to that base. Then the reduction of Lei 15.270/2025 comes in: taxable income of up to R$ 5.000 a month pays no tax at source, and between R$ 5.000,01 and R$ 7.350 the reduction fades until it ends.
The transport voucher deducts up to 6% of the base salary, and the FGTS is a deposit made by the employer on top of the salary. Other deductions, such as a health plan or alimony, go in the other deductions field.
Vacation is 30 days of pay plus a constitutional third, and the 13th salary is paid in two installments, with INSS and income tax on the second. Severance depends on how the contract ends: a dismissal without cause pays notice, the proportional 13th and vacation and a 40% FGTS fine, while a resignation has no fine and no withdrawal.
The PJ comparison assumes a company in the Simples Nacional, Anexo III, which needs a pro labore of at least 28% of the invoice (fator R). It adds up the CLT cash for a year, the FGTS deposits and your benefits, and finds the invoice that leaves you with the same amount after the Simples tax, the INSS and income tax on the pro labore and the accountant. As a PJ there is no paid vacation, no 13th, no FGTS fine and no unemployment insurance, so the comparison is about money and not about risk.
INSS table 2026
The employee's INSS is calculated in progressive brackets: the rate of each bracket applies only to the part of the salary that falls in it. The table shows the "amount to deduct" method, which gives the same result and is the one payroll systems use. The contribution ceiling is R$8,475.55: above it the deduction no longer grows and stays at R$988.09.
| Salary bracket | Rate | Amount to deduct |
|---|---|---|
| Up to R$1,621.00 | 7.5% | R$0.00 |
| From R$1,621.01 to R$2,902.84 | 9% | R$24.32 |
| From R$2,902.85 to R$4,354.27 | 12% | R$111.40 |
| From R$4,354.28 to R$8,475.55 | 14% | R$198.49 |
Income tax table (IRRF) 2026
Tax withheld at source applies to the calculation base: the salary minus the INSS and minus R$189.59 per dependent, or minus the simplified discount of R$607.20 when that is larger. The rate of the table is applied to the base and the amount to deduct is subtracted. Then the reduction of Lei 15.270/2025 comes in: taxable income of up to R$5,000.00 a month pays no tax at source, and between that and R$7,350.00 the reduction shrinks until it ends.
| Calculation base | Rate | Amount to deduct |
|---|---|---|
| Up to R$2,428.80 | 0% | R$0.00 |
| From R$2,428.81 to R$2,826.65 | 7.5% | R$182.16 |
| From R$2,826.66 to R$3,751.05 | 15% | R$394.16 |
| From R$3,751.06 to R$4,664.68 | 22.5% | R$675.49 |
| Above R$4,664.68 | 27.5% | R$908.73 |

Frequently asked questions
How much do I get from vacation and the 13th salary on a gross salary of R$ 5,000?
In 2026, with no dependents, 30 days of vacation come to R$5,300.30 net, including the one third bonus, and the full 13th salary to R$4,498.49 net, against a net monthly salary of R$4,498.49.
How much do I need to charge as PJ to match a CLT salary of R$ 8,000?
About R$8,537.43 a month, with no benefits, for a company in the Simples Nacional with a pro labore of 28% of the invoice and a R$350.00 accountant. That is the invoice that leaves the same amount as a year of CLT cash plus the FGTS deposits.
How is the severance calculated from the time of service?
The calculator takes the time you typed, counts the exit at the end of the current month and works out the notice (30 days plus 3 per full year, up to 90), the proportional 13th salary and vacation, the FGTS deposit and the fine. The FGTS balance is estimated as 8% of the salary per month of service, so use the severance calculator with your real balance for a final figure.
Why is my payslip different?
Payslips can hold items the calculator does not know: alimony, advances, agreements, extra pay and rounding differences. Use the other deductions field to get closer.
Is the simplified discount applied on its own?
Yes. The calculator compares the legal deductions with the simplified discount and uses whichever gives less tax, as an employer can do in the payroll.
Does someone earning up to R$ 5.000 pay income tax?
Under the 2026 rule, income tax withheld on monthly taxable income of up to R$ 5.000 is brought to zero by the reduction of Lei 15.270/2025. INSS is still deducted as usual.
Is the FGTS taken from my salary?
No. The 8% FGTS is deposited by the employer on top of the salary. It is shown only so you can see what the job pays besides the net amount.
How is INSS calculated?
In progressive brackets, with rates that rise with the salary, up to the social security ceiling. Above the ceiling the deduction is always the maximum.
How much is a gross salary of R$ 3,000 after deductions?
In 2026, with no dependents, transport voucher or other deductions, a gross salary of R$3,000.00 pays R$248.60 of INSS and R$0.00 of income tax, leaving a net salary of R$2,751.40.
How much is a gross salary of R$ 5,000 after deductions?
In 2026, with no dependents, transport voucher or other deductions, a gross salary of R$5,000.00 pays R$501.51 of INSS and R$0.00 of income tax, leaving a net salary of R$4,498.49.
How much is a gross salary of R$ 10,000 after deductions?
In 2026, with no dependents, transport voucher or other deductions, a gross salary of R$10,000.00 pays R$988.09 of INSS and R$1,569.55 of income tax, leaving a net salary of R$7,442.36.
What is the INSS ceiling?
The contribution ceiling is R$8,475.55. Above that salary the deduction stops growing and stays at R$988.09 a month.
Do dependents reduce income tax?
Yes. Each dependent lowers the calculation base by R$189.59, as long as the legal deductions added together are larger than the simplified discount. Under the current rule, taxable income of up to R$5,000.00 a month already pays no tax at source.
